We’re hiring a Rentals & Events Coordinator!

About the position:

The Rentals & Events Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordinating and booking of rentals in the second theater at 5th Avenue Cinema. The coordinator will maintain consistent communication—via email, face-to-face, and sometimes by phone, in order to respond to booking requests, invoice customers, organize space tours, and maintain appropriate communication with staff, the SALP coordinator, the accounting team, and other AV-related partners.

This is a position that requires clear communication, customer service, as well as organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. The candidate should be comfortable with minor troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment, accurately calculating and consistently billing rental fees, and ensuring the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the cinema.  The position will also assist with other administrative or box office tasks and projects as needed.

The Rentals & Events Coordinator works closely with a five-person team which includes: one cinema coordinator, two projectionists, and a publicity coordinator. Everyone participates in the selection of film offerings each term, as well as the general maintenance and running of the cinema. The position requires 14 to 16 hours of work per week, with weekly meetings and film screenings every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be a PSU student

- Earn a 2.5 undergraduate GPA or 3.0 graduate GPA for each term enrolled

- Enrollment in and successful completion of a minimum of 6 undergraduate credits or 5 graduate credits per term (except summer)

- Graduation Date of Spring 2026 and beyond

Start date of Fall 2025
